How to Find Things

So there's this demon bitch that has hunted me for many long years now. Times she stays back low in the shadows just watching, waiting, because she can do that. She's a demon and she never ages and she doesn't really care how long it takes, she has forever, time doesn't mean shit. She could care less. So now that I live alone the demon bitch she circles around and comes in for me like a shark every so often, so it's like being in cold waters knowing this demon bitch can circle in anytime she feels like it and take me by the throat. But then, doesn't really matter, least there'll be someone to dance with.

She does likes to dance.

Anyway, not long ago this Mexican dude was out near my fence when I came back from the store. I was staggering; I kind of fell against the wall, but it wasn't due to what this Mexican guessed. He figured I was drunk and it'd make an easy roll. He didn't understand this was just this crazy anti-depressive drug that'd been shoved at me. No longer take 'em, but at the time they made me stagger a bit. So he says to me can you help me out and I said sure, what do you need, and he said he'd lost something in his car. He says to me that if I could go get a flashlight and come back to his car with him that he could find this thing he'd lost and I said no problem, you wait here. And I went up to my apartment, but I didn't get a flashlight, I got my glock and shoved it in my belt, under my jacked and I kept my hand on the rubber grip, and then walked down the stairs to the Mexican and said, let's go find what you lost in your car. And I walk back with him down this alley to his car, all kinds of shit in this old car, then with my free hand I held up this tiny blue penlight I have on my key chain and I looked at him and I said okay, that should help you. See if you can find what you lost. And he isn't sure what the game is because this gringo isn't right, he's a bit loco, making no sense now. So the dude gets in his car and he's searching all over, throwing things around and I said, can you see okay and he answers, yeah, man, I can see fine, and I said well, good. Glad to help. And he's looking, he's looking all over and I shine the penlight around and I say, find it yet? and he says over here I think, and I say over there, yeah he answers, yeah, over here, and I say okay, find it. And I wait and I say it again this time with a bit of emphasis, find it. And miraculously, he does. He says, here it is, here, I got it. You found it, then? Yeah, yeah, got it, thanks, man, and he puts the keys in and drives off. I didn't feel anything at all. I could have just killed a man and I didn't even care, didn't give a shit, nothing in me, numb, nothing. Guess I'm getting callous.

But I helped him out. You think?

Because he did find what he was lookin' for.
